“Working with Nick was a true pleasure. He worked on my documentary as if it was his own, always listening to the way in which I spoke about it and what I was looking for. Sometimes, Nick would call me and ask questions about certain scenes, or the script and the words I had chosen to decribe an experience or a sentiment. In the end, the original score was amazing. It fit the mood and intention of the documentary. Nick did research on the topic and the different religions and it certainly showed in the final product. I often get comments on the original score when people hear it on my website or watch the documentary. A heartfelt thanks to Nick for a job well done.” - Gina Valle, Producer ,The Last Rite
"You'll be amused to know that the audio editor (who should know about these things) praises your composition. He's particularly impressed at how you are able to keep the music sounding so different, and specifically expressed amazement that one composer could handle so many different styles and forms. I am, too." Incidentally, the National Geographic EP just happened to be in the office today, so we watched the first finished programme (Istanbul-Panama) together. She loved it. And loved the music. She thought you did a terrific job on the opening theme and on the second-location-segment re-start theme (7 second) theme. Well done on all of it.” - Steve Seidenberg, Producer
“I've had the pleasure of working with Nick on three separate program themes, and every time, he amazes me! He so totally gets it. He creates the perfect theme from the sketchiest, vaguest notion that producers are notorious for ! And he's a breeze to work with. I look forward to our next project together.” - R.J. Gulliver,Producer,
"I came to Nick with a bunch of CDs and an idea for a score that would be as melodic as it was revelatory. Not only did he nail it on the first try, but every revision of his work brought out new elements of character and subtext. When Nick says he'll do it, you can expect it on time, every time... Thanks Nick."- John O'Leary, Topshaker Films
“… and I just finished listening to a little of every track. I LOVE IT MAN!!! I don't know what to say - thank you... You are definitely on track.” - M. Maxxis, Producer
“I have been listening to the various cuts and I am taking my hat off to you sir. Well done. I hope one day, when the dust settles, someone sits me down and very slowly explains to me why the hell it was that you were not on this from day one. Oh wait, I know why... shit. Too bad. I really think you've got the heart of what we are trying to do with HALO. Glad you're a ninth inning pitcher. I will contact Steve Smith in the morning and see what I can accomplish. When you come for the premier party, we'll be buying your beers. Take a well deserved break.” - Thanks. - G. Allan, Director, Halo
“What it was missing was the fuller longer proper thank you - for doing a great job on the music. I know you worked under short deadlines. I think the series had a lot of richness - in terms of content, culture, emotion and your music made all the difference in that richness coming up to the full degree that it could. Your superb cultural flavours were beautiful.” Thanks again Nick. It was great working with you (again). - Cheers, Marjonneke Grech, Producer
